BENEFICIARIES
RISE N’ SHINEprovides emotional support, stability and advocacy for children and teens affected by AIDS. This includes those who have been orphaned, children and teens infected themselves, and those who live with a parent or sibling with HIV/AIDS.
Support is available through the Mentor Program, Summer Camp, Peer Support Groups, Children’s AIDS Memorial Grove, and Teen Retreats. With a small staff and a large number of volunteers, Rise n’ Shine has a powerful impact on the lives of these often forgotten children. For more information visit www.risenshine.org.
THE HEALING CENTER supports children, adults and families as they come to terms with the death of a loved one. We offer a variety of services and a community of people. This is a place where bereaved people, adults and children alike, can stop for a little while, rest, be comforted, meet others who understand and begin to move through their grief so that, ultimately, they can begin to make peace with death and rebuild their lives. The long-term goal is that each person will come to a place of peace and will find new meaning as they reinvest in life. After two years of fund raising through a small auction at the Golf Classic Pairings Party, a granderGala & Auction was added to the celebrity golf
weekend in 1996. Celebrities from the sports world, Hollywood, and local personalities arrive early and join guests at the Gala, adding a red-carpet
element to and fun, festive evening.
The Gala and Golf weekend has grossed over $7 million since 1996.

The Dinner Gala & Auction is the kick-off to a 3-day golf classic weekend. The evening begins at 5:00 PM with the Silent Auction, followed by the Live Auction and 4-course dinner at 7:30PM, then dancing to Live Music at 9:30. Semi-formal attire.
The Silent and Live Auction block features Wine Trips and Lots, Sports Memorabilia, Entertainment, Exotic Travel, Unique Experiences and Exclusive Parties.
The evening is especially entertaining with a number of celebrities arriving early for the golf tournament on Monday. Previous year’s line-up included Keith Colburn, Captain of The Wizard, on “Deadliest Catch”; former UW standout Benji Olson (Tennessee Titans); former Seattle Sonics Jim McIlvaine; and from “Two and a Half Men”,Ryan Stiles.
